For Wilier the choice at the very top end splits in three different categories:
- Endurance
- Aero
- Lightweight
For every choice there is a very high performance frame that is designed for the precise intended use of the bike. The first in line will be the Verticale, their lightweight race bike used also by team Groupama FDJ.
The Verticale "frame kit", includes handlebars, seatpost, fork and frame. With a weight for the complete package coming in at 1623 grams, it is pretty much the lightest that we sell at bellatisport.
The more "relaxed" geometry sets it apart from the Zero SLR, giving it more head angle and as a result of that, a better feel in the downhills. It also has a higher stack and shorter reach, not by much but enough to fit most of the cyclists that require also a little bit of comfort while looking mostly at the weight.
Getting to the ride feel of this bike, it is clear that it was designed to climb, that due to a strengthening of the bottom bracket area and overall stiffnes of the frame.
