The District EQ 1 combines a Gates Carbon Drive with a Shimano Alfine hub gear with eleven gears, and thus a drive that neither lubricates nor rusts nor ruins any pant legs. It is also switched when stationary, which makes the difference at traffic lights. Lights, mudguards and luggage racks are factory assembled, the hub dynamo makes batteries superfluous. The Premium Alloy frame remains tidy thanks to internal trains, the Schwalbe G-One tires in 700x40c wheels quietly. It is one of the lowest maintenance bikes in the range. Calculated over a year, this saves many steps.
