This 120mm travel MTB is engineered to provide the Wilier-Vittoria MTB Factory Team with a modern and versatile race bike featuring a high-performance suspension system, precise handling, and enhanced safety.
From the moment you start riding, the new Urta Max SLR will make you feel like you're on a bike that's ideal for competition but also incredibly fun on the most challenging trails.
The New Suspension System
The Urta Max boasts a new single-pivot damping system. The compression ratio has been optimized for maximum effectiveness across all types of terrain.
The standard RockShox and Fox rear shocks with 45mm of travel feature compression curves specifically tailored to work in perfect harmony with the leverage ratio chosen during the design phase.
This system features three operating phases: a regressive phase (stiffer and more sustained); a more reactive and sensitive phase when maximum pedaling efficiency is required; and a final, more progressive phase to prevent the suspension from bottoming out.
Frame Technology
The two triangles that make up the Urta Max SLR frame are constructed from HUS-MOD high-modulus carbon fiber, the same material used in all of Wilier's top-tier products. Maximum stiffness is strategically placed where it's most needed.
The front triangle fully integrates the cables within the frame. However, unlike previous models where tubes and sheaths passed through holes in the carbon fiber, the Urta Max routes the brake, derailleur, and dropper cables through the headset, similar to road bikes. This solution provides the bike with an extremely clean and elegant aesthetic while also improving the overall stiffness in the headset area. The absence of holes ensures continuous modularity and directionality of the carbon fibers.
The rear triangle of the Urta Max is designed with a single-pivot point. The new conrod (stiffened compared to previous versions) is designed to maximize frame efficiency, allowing for a full 120mm of travel.
