Verticale SLR: Wilier's Lightest Bike Ever
The Verticale SLR is Wilier's lightest road bike, approximately 10% lighter than the previous 0 SLR model. This weight reduction, along with high-quality composite materials (Toray T800, T1100, and M46JB fibers), translates to greater responsiveness and performance.
Key Components:
V Bar Handlebar: Monocoque carbon with an ergonomic design offering a narrower grip on top and a wider grip at the bottom, improving aerodynamics and handling.
Cable Routing: Optimized for smooth brake cable routing inside the handlebar.
Integrated Computer Mount: Lightweight aluminum, fully integrated into the handlebar.
Aerodynamics: Although not the primary goal, the Verticale SLR has an improved drag area coefficient (CDA) compared to the previous model, further enhancing efficiency thanks to new geometries that promote an aerodynamic riding position.
Seatpost: Redesigned with two possible setbacks (0° and -15°) and holes for mounting a light or race number. The fastening system has been optimized to reduce weight.
Front Derailleur: Repositionable, to accommodate both standard and oversized cranksets.
Geometries: Geometries have been optimized to improve the rider's position, with a slightly reduced reach for small sizes and increased for large sizes.
Asymmetrical Fork: Reworked for better resistance and braking response.
Rear Dropouts: Designed to prevent rotation and ensure greater reliability.
